I have been working as a computer trainer since 1995. I prefer to work either with individuals or small groups. I like to be able to apply training to real-life situtions.
I train mainly in Microsoft products (Windows, Word, Excel, etc). I cover basic skills (eg word processing, email, internet) and more advanced skills (mail-merge, macros and automation, databases) plus a range of other computer-related skills (eg scanners, digital cameras and image manipulation).
To existing clients I offer a telephone or email support service.
From 1982 to 1995 I worked as an office administrator where one of my most significant responsbilities was the transfer from paper-based to electronic systems and the training of staff to use them. From 1995 to 2000 I was working for a management consultancy, providing IT support, customising MS Office and developing databases.
In addition to training I also work as a web developer, database designer and IT consultant. A few years ago I set up a company called ByteHaven Ltd to handle all my work except computer training. In 2008 I transferred One-to-One Computer Training to ByteHaven Ltd.
In 2009 I moved from Epsom, Surrey to Totland Bay, Isle of Wight.
